Unexpectedly Good Foods for the Grill

Barbecuing burgers and steaks has always been a beloved summer tradition. We think it's also the perfect time to expand your grilling repertoire and sample a selection of our delicious (and easy) party foods at your next backyard soirée.

Pizza & Flatbreads
It’s the ultimate meal or snack, and it’s fantastic hot off the grill. Simply preheat your grill to medium-low (about 400°F).  Remove all packaging from your frozen pizza or flatbread and place it directly on the center of the grill. Close the lid and grill for 10-15 minutes, rotating half way through. Your pizza pie is ready when the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

Potato Shells, Quesadillas & Other Finger Foods
What better way to kick off your BBQ feast than with some barbecued appetizer or sides! Using a BBQ tray, basket or some heavy duty aluminum foil, you can grill just about anything. Simply pre-heat your grill to the cooking temperature listed on the packaging, wrap your apps and finger foods in foil or place them on a grill tray and heat through until bubbly, crispy and ready to enjoy.

Chicken Wings
These perennial crowd pleasers are excellent on the grill. Grilling allows excess fat to drain away and gives wings a nice, crispy texture outside while leaving them moist inside. To avoid flare-ups and burning, keep heat at medium-high. Spread out any of our ten Fully Cooked Chicken Wing flavoursMango Habanero, Extreme Crunch, Jumbo Crispy, Buffalo Jumbo Crispy, Honey Garlic, Louisiana Style, Barbecue, Honey Barbecue, Buffalo Style, or Salt & Pepper - on your lightly oiled grill in a single layer. Grill for 8 to 10 minutes with the lid closed, then turn and continue cooking with the lid closed for an additional 8 minutes. Keep your eye on the wings and if necessary, turn more frequently to avoid burning.

Skewers & Kabobs
Anything skewered is a natural on the grill. They're a simple, fun, and popular party item, which is why we're always coming up with delicious new flavour combinations for you to savour. Our Marinated Kebobs require a little more heat than our party-size skewers. If you wish to serve a variety, start with the grill on high heat and begin with the kebobs. After 2 minutes on each side, reduce the heat to medium, at which point you can add the exciting tastes of our Maple Salmon Skewers or Chicken Pineapple Mini-Skewer. Cooking times vary from 4-10 minutes - check the instructions on the box for perfect results.
