Basa Fillets

Serving Information:

PREPARE FROM THAWED.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

DEFROSTING:

  1. Defrost fillets, in package, in cold water or overnight in refrigerator.
  2. Remove packaging prior to cooking.
  3. Pat fillets dry. Lightly season both sides (as desired).

FRY PAN (For best results):

  1. Preheat non-stick fry pan on medium-high.
  2. Add 1 to 2 tsp (5 to 10 mL) olive oil or butter.
  3. Fry 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  4. If cooking from frozen, add 2 to 4 minutes per side.
  5. Serve.

OVEN:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place on non-stick baking sheet and position in centre of oven.
  3. Cook 14 to 16 minutes.
  4.  If cooking from frozen, add 12 to 14 minutes.
  5. Serve.

MICROWAVE: Not recommended.

NOTE: Cook until minimum internal temperature of 158°F (70°C) is reached. Fully cooked basa is opaque and flakes with a fork. Since appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only. Do not refreeze thawed product. Store thawed product in refrigerator and use within 2 days.
