Caesar-Style Chicken and Penne

Serving Size: 4 servings
This recipe features chicken strips coated in Caesar dressing and crouton crumbs then baked. Chicken is served over pasta in a creamy sauce and sprinkled with shreds of Parmesan cheese.

Caesar style chicken penne


  • 3 M&M Boneless Chicken Breasts Seasoned & Skinless
  • 2/3 cup low-fat creamy Caesar dressing
  • 1 package Caesar flavour croutons
  • 340 g package penne high fibre pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL ) herb and garlic cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL ) milk
  • 3 strips Fully Cooked Bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1/3 cup ( 75 mL ) shredded Parmesan cheese


Cut chicken into thin strips. Place dressing in a bowl, toss with chicken to coat. Finely crush croutons; toss with chicken to coat. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in a 375°F (180°C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

Meanwhile in a large pot, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta; return to pot. Stir in cream cheese and milk; stir to coat pasta. Stir in bacon pieces.

To serve, spoon pasta into flat bowls, top with chicken strips; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.



If desired, add M&M Food Market California Style Vegetables to the pasta water in the last few minutes of cooking: measure 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) frozen vegetables, thaw, then finely chop to yield 1 cup (250 mL).
