Chicken and Vegetable Indian Bites

Serving Size: 6 or more servings
These are really fun and loaded with vegetables. Double the yogurt dipping sauce to have enough for both!

Chicken and Vegetable Indian Bites


  • For the Bites

  • 1 cup M&M Food Market California Style Mixed Vegetables, thawed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup zucchini, grated
  • 3 M&M Food Market Boneless Chicken Breasts, Seasoned & Skinless, cooked and diced
  • 3/4 cup chick pea flour (can be found with the specialty flours, the organic products or in the ethnic section. If you don’t find it use another gluten free flour like rice, quinoa or buckwheat)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cumin or your favourite curry blend
  • enough vegetable oil for frying

  • For the Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek style 0% fat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup apricot, peach or orange jam or Indian mango chutney
  • 1 lime, zest and juice
  • 2 tbs fresh mint, fresh cilantro, chopped (both optional)


For the bites: Mix all the ingredients together and spoon (1 tsp to 1 tbs) the mixture into hot oil. Fry for 2 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and serve with yogurt sauce.

For the sauce: Mix all ingredients together.



The kids will love to eat them and up to the frying part, can actually do all the work!
