Japanese-inspired Jail Island® Salmon and Rice

Jail Island Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Cook short grain white rice according to package instructions.
  2. Season the rice with some sushi rice seasoning (see instructions below).
  3. Top rice with the salmon fillets. 
  4. Dust the salmon and rice with sesame seeds.
  5. Add cooked onions and peppers.
  6. Optional: drizzle with sriracha mayonnaise. 
  7. Serve hot or cold.
To make sushi rice seasoning:

  1. Mix water, rice vinegar and sugar in a pot
  2. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  3. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Cool and add to cooked rice, to taste.
