Shortbread Crumble

Serving Size: 10-12 servings

A shortbread cookie crust layered with your favourite jam, and a delightful nut and shortbread crumble topping.

Shortbread Crumble



  1. Microwave 1 package of M&M Shortbread Cookies for 45 seconds at 1000W.
  2. Break or cut off six cubes of dough and set aside.
  3. Press remaining dough into an 8" x 8" pan. Keep the layer as even as possible.
  4. Bake at 350˚F until done, approximately 25-40 minutes depending on your oven.
  5. Remove from oven and top with your favorite jam or fruit compote.
  6. Mix the remaining six cubes of dough with an equal portion of ground almonds or your favourite ground nut.
  7. Rub them together until they resemble crumbs.
  8. Sprinkle the crumbs in an even layer over the fruit topping, and return to the oven to bake at 350˚F until done, about 15-20 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and cool.
