When is it Done?

There are three key ways to tell if your steak is done: temperature, time and touch. Use this handy guide to ensure your steak is cooked just the way you want it.

When is it Done?
Well done

Steak is cooked through with no pink at all.         
Juices run clear. Press test is firm.
77° C / 170° F
7 minutes per side. 


Steak is pink and the juices run pink to clear       
Firm and springy press test.
71° C / 160° F
5 minutes per side. 

Medium Rare

Steak still a bit raw in the centre and the
juices run red. Press test is soft and spongy.      
63° C / 145° F
4 minutes per side.
