Slow Cooked Beef Pot Roast

This Chuck pot roast is very tender, thanks to up to 10 hours of slow cooking! It’s aged for 21 days, so the long braising time gives the roast a deep, beefy flavour.

Slow cooked beef is delicious

Excellent! Approved by the whole family. It really taste like your granny's Pot Roast. We served at Thanksgiving, what was the source of this remark: "You should have got more of this, forget the meatballs..."

This was way too salty

Most of their frozen food/desserts are pretty good but like others are saying, the prices are getting too high. I now buy almost nothing at M and M. Their sale prices on many items are higher than the regular prices were a couple years ago. I realize they are a specialty shop, but.........

B
Barry

Roast beef had decent flavour, although the gravy was quite fatty. Does anyone know why the cooking instructions are different on the box vs. the M&M website? Box says to cook at 425 vs 375 on the site.

Super bon

I used to shop at M&M quite frequently but now their prices are way way too high. Overpriced frozen food.

The beef pot roast used to be a great deal. Then prices sky rocketed, just like they did on other popular items like the beef Wellington. Way too much money. You’re better off buying a chuck roast and doing it in your own slow cooker. You’re pricing yourselves right out of the market. People are having bad times and cist if living has grown exponentially. Come on guys and gals you can do better than this.

These were alright a few years ago as quick dinner but price is outrageous now. As other person pointed out not long ago used to be able to find them for $13 on sale. Just go buy a chuck roast and make better food for less.

I remember when the regular price of this pot roast was $19.99 and it used to go on sale for $12.99. I absolutely cannot believe the price it is now! Completely ridiculous! The portion size is good for 2 people, but you could make it 3 if you added all your own veggies (potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, etc). I used to buy this all the time, but in the last couple of years even the sale price is horrible. Won't be buying ever again.

M&M TAKE NOTE: You are going to price yourselves right out of the business!!! I know tons of people that no longer shop at your store because of the hugely inflated prices.

This pot roast is incredible. It’s pricy but worth it. If you throw some cut up potatoes to cook with it, it stretches the meal and the potatoes soak up more of that delicious gravy. Me and my teenage boys love it every time.

Last time I bought one you couldn't cut it with a chainsaw Literally awful

Too much fat and grizzle on it. Getting smaller and smaller. Very overpriced now.

F

Hi, the meat is very tender, but it is overly salted, and it kills everything about this roast. They should stop adding so much salt.

C
Christina

Usually I have good luck but the last time it was so grizzly even my husband couldn't eat it. To expensive for that to be happening.
Honestly, I only buy when things are on sale.

Always delicious bit now im buying 2 for 27.99 at Costco. About 1.5 to 2 sizes bigger for same roast.

Delicious and convenient. Unfortunately they seem to be getting smaller and smaller all the time!!!

Delicious but way to expensive now. Even at sale price I won't be purchasing again. Very dissapointed.

Completely overpriced.

There's nothing like spending $33 (!!!) dollars on a small roast, and having half of it be inedible fat.
I remember when these were close to $20 NOT THAT LONG AGO. I can buy a decent organic roast of equal size for less than $30. I honestly don't understand what they are thinking.

Over Priced and Over Cooked Beware of On Sale!

Firstly price has drastically increased since January 2025. $22 now $34 Feb 2026. Bought 3 when Roasts came on sale. Prepared per microwave instructions. All 3 roasts were extremely overcooked. One side was burnt, blackened and shoe leather hard. Scraped meat off overcooked side. Had to throw out 1/3 to 1/2 of these 3 roasts. Inedible.

Too expensive!

Used to buy this all the time as a great base for a tasty meal with roasted veggies but definitely not worth paying the current price so sadly won’t buy it again unless it comes back down to about $20.

Love the taste NOT the price

As a busy Mom this roast was a delicious meal for my family & a treat for me as it requires minimal preparation..... like a night off cooking. Unfortunately now, the cost is 'through the roof' & even the sale price is outrageous .. .so I am back to preparing my own. So disappointed

I bought it once about one year ago..it was a bit under $20.00 now the sale price is like $25.00 and the regular price like $33.00. I Thought I would have a good meal and then a leftover meal but I am sure I cut up and had to throw away about half in fat...Only got one meal for about $20.00..to expensive for me.. I am a senior on a fix pension ..then told myself. Never again !!!

An M&M favorite

Tasty but quite a lot more fat than usual.

Too expensive

Price has gone up way too much. Will no longer purchase, will make my own instead.

Good but expensive for what you get now

Used to be one of my faves but its only worth it when its $20, lately its really fatty and/or stringy. I'd never pay $32.99 for it!

H

Not as good as advertised

I cooked it in my microwave as directed. There wasn't enough gravy to cover the roast at the end, so some of it was overcooked and tough. It worked out much better when I "repackaged" it increasing the gravy and cutting the remaining pot roast into small pieces.

Simply the best!

This roast beef is the reason I began to buy from M &M. it is simply delicious! If I am by myself for the meal, I freeze the leftovers for beef and barley soup. That is, if there are leftovers. Yum!

“OVER-PRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET”!!!!!

By Far The Best & Only Item I Will Buy Now!!! (But Only When It Goes On Sale!!! ($32.99 Is A Rip-Off) Even Your Recent Sale Price Of 27.99 Is Too-Much!!!: For What You Get It Should Be More Like $20.00!!!

Way too fatty

Was so disappointed with the amount of fat and gristle. Not worth it even at the sale price.
