Introduction
M&M Meat Shops Ltd./Les Aliments M&M Ltee, including its parent company and affiliates (collectively, "Company, “we” “our” or “us”"), recognizes and respects your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Notice (the "Notice") is to explain how and for what purposes the Company collects, uses, shares or otherwise processes your Personal Information (as defined below) and how we safeguard the confidentiality of your Personal information when you visit our websites, our online store powered by Shopify, our social media sites or our mobile apps (collectively, our "Sites"), or when you communicate with us, register for an account with us, purchase our products, use our services, visit our retail locations, or attend our events (collectively, our “Services”).
Please read this Notice carefully as it describes your privacy choices and how you can contact us if you have questions or would like to exercise your rights under applicable privacy laws. By providing us with Personal Information and/or otherwise interacting with us, you agree that your Personal Information will be processed in accordance with this Notice.
This Notice may change from time to time (see "Changes to Our Privacy Notice" below). Your continued use of our Sites or Services after we make and/or notify you of changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Notice periodically for updates.
Definition of Personal Information
In this Notice, “Personal Information” is any information that can be used, either alone or in combination with other information, to identify an individual ("Personal Information"). Information that is anonymized and cannot be associated with an identifiable individual is not considered to be personal information, if it is, at all times, reasonably foreseeable in the circumstances that this information irreversibly no longer allows you to be identified directly or indirectly.

We may collect the following categories of Personal Information depending on how you interact with us, which of our Sites or Services you use, your jurisdiction, and as permitted or required by applicable law:
· Contact information, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, password, or other information provided at the time of registering to use our Sites, to apply for our offerings, such as rewards programs or to attend one of our programs.
· Account information, such as your username, password, security questions, preferences and settings created when you register for an account on our Sites.
· Financial information, such as your payment card details, billing address, and financial account information, and any other financial information you may provide as part of a purchase or payment transaction.
· Transaction and commercial information, including products and services that you purchase, view, add to cart, add to your wishlist, or return online and in stores, transaction details such as payment method, price, time of purchase, order number, and store location, your participation in reward programs, and other information regarding your purchase history or past transactions.
· Location information, such as precise geolocation as derived from your IP address and GPS information from your device.
· Site usage information, such as information about the equipment you use to access our Sites and internet connection, including your computer, device identifiers, IP address, operating system, and browser type; the resources you access and use on our Sites; usage details such as browsing actions and patterns, including session replay data, and the time of the visit and the visited page(s); information regarding your search queries on our Sites; traffic on our Sites; metadata and other details; and other user actions. Our vendors and partners may also collect Personal Information this way on our Sites.
· Communications with us, such as information that you provide by completing forms on our Sites, including information you submit related to customer support inquiries, product feedback, orders, or corresponding with us, including via chats or emails.
· Social media or third-party account information, if you choose to link, connect, or login to our Sites through a third-party online service. When you do so, you direct the service to send us certain information about you controlled by that service, such as profile information. This sharing is subject to the applicable privacy notices and your privacy settings of that service.
· Video surveillance, we may use video surveillance, and may collect video and audio, including your image and voice, at our retail and warehouse locations to detect and address security and safety incidents, shoplifting, other potentially illegal activities, and adequate staffing considerations.
· Other Personal Information, we may receive additional Personal Information as required or permitted by law.
Sources of Personal Information
We may collect Personal Information from the following sources:
· Directly from you, including any Personal Information you may provide when using our Sites or Services, visiting our retail locations, or communicating with us.
· Automatically as you navigate through our Sites, including from your device when you use our Services or visit our Sites, and through the use of cookies and similar technologies, including with the help of third parties. · From our e-commerce platform provider (Shopify), which hosts our online store and collects and processes Personal Information about your access to and use of the Sites and/or Services in order to provide and improve the Services.
· From our corporate affiliates, partners and third parties, including our advertising business partners.
· From our service providers and partners, including when we engage them to enable certain technology and when they collect or process your Personal Information on our behalf.
How We Use Your Personal Information
We may use your Personal Information for the following purposes, and for other purposes, with your consent, or as permitted by applicable law:
· To provide and personalize our Sites and Services, including to present and administer our online store, retail locations, and Sites and their related contents to you, to recognize you when you return to our Sites, and to store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Sites according to your individual interests. This includes processing your payments, fulfilling your orders, arranging for shipping, facilitating returns and exchanges, and creating a customized shopping experience for you, such as recommending products related to your purchases.
· To authenticate accounts and orders, including to determine if we can provide you with information, products, or services you request from us, and to do so if possible.
· For legal reasons, including to (i) comply with any applicable court order, law, regulation or legal process, including response to any government or regulatory request; (ii) participate in adversarial legal proceedings, including litigation and civil discovery; (iii) investigate potential violations of and enforce our policies and agreements; (iv) protect the security or integrity of our services; (v) detect, prevent, or investigate potential fraud or abuse; (vi) meet our corporate and social responsibility commitments; or (vii) to protect the rights, property, health, welfare, security or safety of you, the Company, our clients, or others.
· To communicate with you, including to provide you with information about our services, publications, and products, or to notify you about changes to our Sites, stores, or any products or Services. We also use your Personal Information to respond to you if you contact us.
· To improve our Sites and Services, including to improve our retain locations, online store, and Sites, calculate usage levels, diagnose server problems, and speed up your searches.
· For marketing and advertising, including to estimate our audience size and usage patterns. We use Google Analytics and other analytics and advertising partners to (i) measure and report how users interact with our Sites for the purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage; (ii) conduct business and market research; (iii) measure conversion tracking; (iv) advertise; and (v) manage, measure and optimize the effectiveness of our content and advertising campaigns. We may also use Personal Information to send you promotional materials and to invite you to our events.
Disclosure of Your Personal Information
We do not disclose your Personal Information to third parties without your consent, except as set forth below or as required or permitted by applicable law.
· To Shopify: Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes Personal Information about your access to and use of the online store and certain Services. Information you submit will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify. See the "Relationship with Shopify" section below for more details.
· To Service Providers: We use service providers to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
· To Business Partners: We may disclose Personal Information to our business partners to assist them in providing services to you.
· To Advertising/Analytics Partners: Google Analytics, other third-party advertising and analytics partners, and other partners may receive information about your activities on our Sites through third-party cookies and other trackers placed through our Sites. To opt out of our use of third-party cookies and trackers that share data with such partners, visit our cookie management tool by clicking Manage Cookies.
· To Corporate Affiliates: We disclose Personal Information to our corporate affiliates, which process Personal Information, including on our behalf, and including for purposes of improving marketing and providing advertisements.
· Business Transactions: We may disclose Personal Information to potential or actual acquirers, their representatives, or other relevant participants, in connection with any sale, merger, acquisition or change of control involving all or a portion of the Company's business or assets, including in connection with bankruptcy or other similar proceedings.
· For Legal Reasons: We may disclose Personal Information if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, participate in legal proceedings, investigate potential violations, protect the security or integrity of our services, detect or prevent fraud, or protect the rights, property, health, welfare, security or safety of you, the Company, our clients, or others.
Relationship with Shopify
Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which collects and processes Personal Information about your access to and use of the online store and certain Services in order to provide and improve the online store and Services for you. Information you submit through our online store will therefore be shared with Shopify.
In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our online store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of Personal Information collected about your interactions with our online store, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your Personal Information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights regarding the use of your Personal Information for these purposes.

Cross-Border Transfers
Please note that we may transfer, store and process your Personal Information outside of Quebec and/or Canada, including in the United States and other countries where Shopify, our service providers, and our affiliates operate. As a result, when your Personal Information is used or stored in a jurisdiction other than where you are residing, it may be subject to the law of this foreign jurisdiction, including any law permitting or requiring disclosure of the information to the government, government agencies, courts and law enforcement in that jurisdiction.
If we transfer your Personal Information outside of Quebec and/or Canada , we will take steps to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.

Marketing Communications
If you do not wish to have your contact information used by the Company to promote our own or third-party products or services, you can opt out in the communication sent to you or by sending us an email stating your request to contact@mmfoodmarket.com. Not all of our communications are for marketing, and you'll continue to receive messages related to your products and services, such as order confirmations, transactional notices, or customer service.
Your Privacy Rights
Under privacy laws in the region in which you reside, you may have the following rights with respect to your Personal Information:

· Right to correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information.

We are accountable for all Personal Information in our possession or custody, including information transferred to third parties for processing. We limit the collection of Personal Information to what is necessary for the purposes identified, and we retain it only as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before we can process your requests, as permitted or required under applicable law. In accordance with applicable laws, you may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require that the agent provide proof you have authorized them to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us. We will respond to your request in a timely manner as required under applicable law.

Children Under the Age of 18
Our Sites and services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any Personal Information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their Personal Information, you may contact us using the contact details set out below to request that it be deleted. We do not have actual knowledge that we "sell" or "share" the Personal Information of individuals under 18 years of age.
