OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS

CONTEST PERIOD

The Sizzling Summer Giveaway Contest (the “Contest”) runs during normal store hours from July 25 – September 4 inclusively (the “Contest Period”) online at mmfoodmarket.com. Void where prohibited by law.

WHO MAY ENTER

To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must:

  • be a legal resident of any Province or Territory of Canada;
  • be of the age of majority in their province or territory of residence or older at time of Contest; and
  • not be employed by M&M Meat Shops Ltd. or Broil King (Onward Manufacturing Company Limited) (individually and collectively, “Sponsor”), its franchisees, representatives or agents, affiliate companies, subsidiaries or advertising and Contest agencies (collectively “Contest Parties”) at any time during the Contest Period, or members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household (whether related or not)

By participating, you agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”)

HOW TO ENTER

Enter online through www.mmfoodmarket.com/en/pages/broil-king-contest during the Contest period and complete the entry form to be entered into the Contest. Limit of one entry per person, per day, per email address. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

There will be five (5) weekly draws from all entries received to the date of each such draw, which are to be held on August 1 (Draw 1), August 8 (Draw 2),August 15 (Draw 3), August 22 (Draw 4), August 29 (Draw 5) in Mississauga, Ontario and one (1) Grand Prize draw to be held on September 5 (Draw 6) in Mississauga, Ontario.

PRIZES AND ODDS

There will be a total of six (6) winners selected by way of random draws from all valid entries received as of the date of each draw, as set out herein and will be awarded as follows:

  • Draw 1 - Cast Iron Plancha and Cooking Dome – total approximate value $140 plus one (1) Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollar M&M Food Market Gift Card plus one (1) $25 Journie Rewards Gift Card
  • Draw 2 - Narrow Topper, Imperial Tool Set, Stainless Roasting Pan, Narrow Work – total approximate value $120.00 plus one (1) Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollar M&M Food Market Gift Card plus one (1) $25 Journie Rewards Gift Card
  • Draw 3 - Rectangular Pizza Stone, Pizza Cutter, Wine Bottle Opener, Folding Pizza Peel – total approximate value $110.00 plus one (1) Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollar M&M Food Market Gift Card plus one (1) $25 Journie Rewards Gift Card
  • Draw 4 - Butcher Paper, Silicone Side Shelf Mat, Wood Fiber Cutting Board, Carving Knife – total approximate value $140.00 plus one (1) Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollar M&M Food Market Gift Card plus one (1) $25 Journie Rewards Gift Card
  • Draw 5 - Rib Roaster, Food Safe Grill Tong, Grill Gloves – total approximate value $160.00 plus one (1) Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollar M&M Food Market Gift Card plus one (1) $25 Journie Rewards Gift Card
  • Draw 6 - Regal S 490 IR BBQ – total approximate value $1,899.00 plus one (1) One Hundred ($100.00) Dollar M&M Food Market Gift Card plus one (1) $100 Journie Rewards Gift Card

(hereinafter collectively called the “Prize” or “Prizes”).

The odds of winning will depend upon the actual number of entries received as of the Contest closing date. No substitutions will be allowed unless the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, substitutes any prize or component of a prize with a prize or prize component of equivalent kind or value for any reason whatsoever. The prizes are non-transferable, with no cash redemption or equivalent. All federal, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. The Sponsor shall only be responsible for awarding the prize as stated in these official rules. The Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the prize.

WINNER CONFIRMATION PROCESS

Before being declared eligible to receive a Prize, eligible participants will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question (without mechanical or other aid) and complete, sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release, where permitted by law within fifteen (15) days of receipt of prize notification. By participating, you hereby: (i) confirm compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledge acceptance of the applicable Prize (as awarded); and (iii) release the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, your participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the applicable Prize or any portion thereof. If you: (a) fail to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) complete, sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release, where permitted by law within fifteen (15) days of receipt of prize notification, (c) cannot accept (or are unwilling to accept) the applicable Prize (as awarded) for any reason; (d) are determined to be in violation of these Rules (all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); and/or (e) if the selected entrant cannot be contacted by phone or email after three (3) attempts over fifteen (15) days; then you may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights the applicable Prize) and an alternate winner will be selected by way of a further draw.

PRIVACY/USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

By participating in this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted only the purpose of running the contest and receiving promotional materials from the Sponsors. This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to withdraw, amend or suspend this Contest (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of any error, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest in any way (as determined by the Sponsor it its sole and absolute discretion) may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules, without prior notice or obligation, for any reason.

ANYONE DEEMED BY THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE SPONSOR’S INTERPRETATION OF THE LETTER AND/OR SPIRIT OF THESES RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to adjust any of the dates, timeframes and/or other mechanics stipulated in these Rules, to the extent deemed necessary by the Sponsor, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant and/or any other information or materials with these Rules, or as a result of any problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Rules, or for any other reason.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials or the French Contest Rules, including, but not limited to, any website(s), point of sale, television, print or online advertising and/or any instructions or interpretations of these Rules given by any representative of the Sponsor, the terms and conditions of these Rules (in English) shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with the terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules or the rights and obligations of participants, the Sponsor or any of the other Released Parties in connection in the Contest will be governed by and construed in accordance with the domestic laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. The parties hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Ontario in any action to enforce (or otherwise relating to) these Rules or relating to this Contest.
