Cooking Instructions

PREPARE FROM THAWED.

DEFROSTING: (for best results)

  1. Defrost fillets, in package, in cold water or overnight in refrigerator.
  2. Remove packaging prior to cooking.
  3. Pat fillets dry. Lightly season both sides (as desired).

OVEN:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Brush with melted butter or margarine if desired.
  3. Spread pieces in single layer in shallow baking pan and position in centre of oven.
  4. Cook 6 to 8 minutes or until cooked through.

FRY PAN:

  1. Preheat a lightly oiled, non-stick pan on medium-high.
  2. Spread pieces in single layer in oil and fry 5 to 7 minutes. Turn once.

MICROWAVE:

Not recommended.

NOTE:

Cook until minimum internal temperature of 158°F (70°C) is reached.Fully cooked cod is opaque white and flakes with a fork.Since appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only.Do not refreeze thawed product.Store thawed product in refrigerator and use within 2 days.
