Red Pozole

This tasty soup is made with M&M Food Market Pork Pot Roast. The gravy from the pot roast adds amazing flavour. Serve with an M&M Food Market Petite Baguette for dunking!

Red Pozole



  1. In a large pot, cover frozen pot roast with water and slowly simmer.
  2. Add 1 cup of M&M Food Market diced onions, 2-3 garlic cloves, oregano, bay leaves and black beans.
  3. Cover and simmer for one hour.
  4. Add the corn halfway through.
  5. While the pot roast is simmering, toast the dried peppers in a pan with canola oil for 20-30 seconds and place in hot water (enough to cover the peppers) to soak. 
  6. Use a separate pan and sauté 1/2 cup of M&M Food Market Diced Onions and 4 garlic cloves until tender. When tender, set aside to cool.
  7. Once cool, purée the peppers, water (no more than 1/2 a cup) and onion and garlic together until smooth and add to the pork pot roast to taste.  



Serve with the following garnishes: lime wedges, sliced radishes, avocado, corn tortilla chips, shredded iceberg lettuce and toasted pumpkin seeds.
